ABOUT US
At Newton College, Amazing Learning is a lifelong journey that encourages us to be better in an ever-changing world. This means that each day we see our pupils grow in knowledge, skills and confidence as they face our challenges.
The key to this success lies in our clear, systematic focus on enriching learning experiences. We are successful because we aim high. Our team of teaching professionals works together with our pupils’ families so they can all develop their extraordinary potential.
Our international creative framework allows Newton College pupils to gain access to the best universities around the world. To achieve this, our educational method is governed by “Amazing Learning”: “Learning means improving academically, socially and emotionally. “Amazing learning” comes when pupils surprise themselves by improving and developing to a higher level than they thought they could.”

NATIVE TEACHERS
Our teachers are native English speakers and they love teaching, contributing many years of regional and international experience.
CURRICULA
The school offers LOMCE (Spanish), International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and prestigious International Baccalaureate (MYP and IB) programmes to ensure our pupils are fully prepared for their future.
PRE-SCHOOL
Pre-school Education at Newton College aims to ensure children take the best first steps for learning. We strive to help pupils develop and grow in a stimulating and safe environment, full of incredible learning opportunities, while also challenging and motivating children to achieve their full potential. We believe that our role as teachers consists in fostering a love for learning and equipping children with the skills and resources necessary for the future.
PRIMARY
At Newton, we are committed to ensuring children receive a full curriculum with which they can discover and cultivate their individual talents to guarantee they all achieve success and realise their full potential.
For this, we offer a combination of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the British national curriculum (BNC). The BNC offers a summary of basic concepts teachers use to prepare fun, stimulating classes. The goal is to promote the development of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of their learning process and a broader curriculum.
SECONDARY
Secondary, like the previous two stages, combines two curricula: the national curriculum or Spanish education law in force and also the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. The combination of both curricula means our pupils can fully develop their skills and potential. Studying both programmes fosters their individual development as creative, critical and reflexive thinkers, turning them into responsible, solidary individuals with an open mind.
BACCALAUREATE
For over 15 years, we have been offering a combined national and international programme for our Baccalaureate pupils, taught in Spanish. By adapting to our pupils’ needs and following current trends for the future of education, from the 16-17 academic year the school will offer two clearly differentiated Baccalaureate plans, guaranteeing access to national and international universities with both programmes: the “International” Spanish programme, taught in Spanish, and the Bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, with at least 50% of subjects taught in English.
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
SMART START
Taking into account the different ways children can learn, we have developed the Smart Start programme for Pre-school Education in order to achieve the maximum holistic potential of our pupils. A custom programme that takes into account the preferences and strengths of the pupil, we consider these starting points to be the ideal channels to optimise responses to learning experiences.
MENTORING AND EXCELLENCE PROGRAMME
The “Guiding your future” programme aims to work with Year 11 to Year 13 pupils, helping them to gain and use the right skills and strategies for them during a very demanding and decisive stage of study.
The Excellence Programme comes from the goal to support high performance students in their last year of Obligatory Secondary Education (4 ESO).
WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAMME
Work experience/shadowing programme which aims to offer Year 12 (1 BAT) pupils the chance to come into contact with the professional world, as well as receive useful information for their future.
An experience we surely all would have liked in our time.
Imagine being able to be next to a vet before starting veterinary studies, or with a researcher in their laboratory before studying chemistry or biology… At Newton College, this is possible.
MODEL UNITED NATIONS
Model United Nations conferences are held all over the world and attended by thousands of pupils. They are designed to help them improve their research and oratory skills, as well as to develop leadership and confidence speaking in public. Pupils must learn to think quickly, and prepare and defend arguments for and against real international topics to represent their respective countries.
ISP BUDDY EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
This programme offers pupils aged 14 to 17 the chance to go on a one-month exchange with ISP schools. Our pupils can discover other people, cultures and countries, another great learning experience.
ISP SUMMER CAMP
Summer camps where our pupils get together with children from other ISP schools worldwide. They enjoy a multicultural experience in New Orleans where they learn about the history of the USA and how so many different cultures have influenced the American culture, and also how this culture influences current affairs.
